In the context of follicle development, chi-mir-122 is one of the top DEmiRNAs that has a significant number of target genes in large follicles (Uni-L vs Mul-L) [PMC7106838]. In small follicles (Uni-S vs Mul-S), chi-mir-122 is also identified as a significant miRNA with target genes [PMC7106838]. However, it is important to note that there may be differences in the expression of chi-mir-122 between RNA-SEQ and qPCR results at 90 days, potentially due to individual variations among goats [PMC8990838]. Overall, chi-mir-122 plays a crucial role in liver development and follicle development in goats.
