ssc-miR-181b: Ssc-mir-181b is a differentially expressed (DE) miRNA that was evaluated in a study [PMC7531090]. It was one of three DE miRNAs, along with ssc-mir-423-5p and ssc-mir-196b-5p, that were analyzed in the study [PMC7531090]. Additionally, ssc-mir-181b was one of eight DE miRNAs selected from a larger group of 45 miRNAs [PMC7531090]. The study also investigated the target sequences of ssc-mir-181b and other miRNAs using the pMIR-REPORT Luciferase vector [PMC5776175]. The expression levels of ssc-mir-181b were measured using qRT-PCR on the StepOnePlus RT-PCR System [PMC7383124]. Interestingly, another study found low and unchanged expression levels of ssc-mir-181b in colorectal cancer (CRC) development in humans [PMC5707088]. Although these differences did not reach statistical significance, they were consistent with data from small RNA sequencing [PMC5707088]. Finally, qRT-PCR validation confirmed the differential expression of ssc-mir-181b along with other miRNAs including ssc-miR-155-5p and ssc-miR191 in CRC development [PMC5707088].
