hsa-mir-5100: We identified 10 potential miRNAs (hsa-mir-5100, hsa-miR-6800-5p, hsa-miR-1233-5p, hsa-miR-4532, hsa-miR-4783-3p, hsa-miR-4787-3p, hsa-miR-1228-5p, hsa-miR-1290, hsa-miR-3184-5p, and hsa-miR-320b) from the GSE106817 datasets that were defined as candidate miRNAs for ovarian cancer diagnosis [PMC8656459]. We employed the miRWalk database to find interactions between miRNAs linked to AD-related neurofibrillary pathology and BCAS4/SHISA7 and later showed that three miRNAs (hsa-miR-185-5p, hsa-miR-423-5p, hsa-miR-5787) and 14 miRNAs (hsa-miR-145-5p, hsa-miR-150-5p, hsa-miR-185-5p, hsa-miR-3620-5p, hsa-miR-4270, hsa-miR-4463, hsa-miR-4507, hsa-miR-4508, hsa-miR-4739, hsa-miR-485-3p, hsa-mir-5100, hsa-miR-762, hsa-miR-769-3p, hsa-miR-937-5p) obtained from GSE157239 dataset reanalysis may target BCAS4 and SHISA7, respectively [PMC8899724]. However, hsa-mir-5100, hsa-mir-1290, hsa-mir-320b, hsa-mir-1233-5p, hsa-mir-4532, hsa-mir-4783-3p, and hsa-mir-4783-3p have high expression levels in the cancerous group [PMC8656459]. The authors found hsa-miR-4524b-3p, hsa-miR-4524b-5p, and hsa-mir-5100 particularly interesting to further pursue [PMC6440664]. Another previous study showed that hsa-mir-5100 was found only in urine, while hsa-let-7a-5p, hsa-miR-23a-3p, hsa-miR-320a-3p, hsa-miR-423-5p, hsa-miR-7847-3p, hsa-miR-4454, and hsa-miR-8485 were common in both urine and serum [PMC9463341].
