bta-mir-25: Bta-mir-25 is a microRNA that was found to be upregulated in older animals and fetal muscle tissue in a study [PMC4990326]. It was also one of the microRNAs that had the greatest number of copies in the spring compared to other seasons [PMC4990326]. The target genes of bta-mir-25 were not described in the study [PMC7242321]. Bta-mir-25 was found to have a significant relationship with iron concentration [PMC7242321]. It belongs to the miR-25 family, along with bta-miR-92b, miR-151-3p, bta-miR-151-5p, and bta-miR-28 [PMC8944274]. Inconsistencies with other studies regarding the upregulation of bta-mir-25 in degenerated embryos were attributed to differences in experimental design and analysis methods [PMC8944274]. Bta-mir-25 was one of the top 10 highly expressed miRNAs across all samples [PMC6107498]. It showed high similarity to human transcripts when aligned using the BLASTN algorithm [PMC4167851]. Bta-mir-25 was used as an endogenous control along with bta-miR103 in a study [PMC4839614]. In another study, it was found to be regulated in both MC and SM fractions during early pregnancy and had potential as a biomarker for pregnancy-related processes [PMC5325256].
